Eban – The Adobea Foundation is a Ghanaian charitable foundation established in memory of Pauline Adobea Dadzawa, with a commitment to creating opportunities, strengthening communities and improving lives.
We focus on building stronger educational foundations and supporting children and communities through the SHIELD Programme.

Protection Rooted In Compassion
Pauline grew up in rural Ghana in a farming community, where children often pursued education with only the barest resources. That experience helped her identify closely with underprivileged people and shaped her conviction that every person deserves dignity, opportunity and a voice.
As a public servant, wife and mother, she was remembered for empowering the voiceless, standing firmly for fairness and believing that strong families help build society and protect its most vulnerable members.
Preserving Her Legacy
Her passing on 18 October 2025 revealed the extraordinary reach of her kindness through the testimonies of friends, colleagues and family. The Foundation turns that remembrance into action: a lasting pathway through which her compassion can continue to create educational opportunity.

Meaning Of Eban
A Shield Of Protection
EBAN, meaning “fence” in Akan/Twi, symbolizes safety, love and protection—reflecting our commitment to creating spaces where children can learn, grow and thrive with dignity. Inspired by the Adinkra symbol Eban, our symbol features converging hands representing unity and collective action, alongside a silhouette honouring the Foundation’s founding inspiration.
